June Report on Covid-19 Survey for the Digital Sector
In month 3 of our C-19 insight report, we are pleased to share more information with you about the impact that C-19 is having on agencies, brands, tech vendors and publishers. The data for this month's piece was collected between the 3rd and the 7th of July.
Whilst we have continued to see some familiar patterns and some improvements, there remains caution across most businesses and sector
Businesses are seeing their customers spend more money with them, yet, naturally, this remains short of pre-Covid levels. In April we found half (49%) of businesses expected to see 50% of usual spend return by June. Pleasingly June’s data shows us that we are seeing a quicker recovery than predicted with Nearly 3/4‘s (74%) of those surveyed have reporting spend at 50% or more vs pre-Covid expectations. This is up from 40% in May.
Confidence in spend in H2 is increasing. About a third (30%) of businesses surveyed are expecting spend to return by at least 75% of normal levels in H2. This is up from 1/4 of those surveyed in April and a slight increase (54%) from May.
