SEO Account Director - Toronto - $ COMPETITIVE SALARY!

One of the biggest independent performance advertising agencies in the world is hiring a SEO Account Director to join their new offices in Toronto!

Sphere have recently partnered with one of the best and most exciting advertising agencies in the world. This agency is one of the biggest performance marketing agencies in the globe, and they have offices in NYC, Toronto, London, Sydney and Singapore. They have an exciting and dynamic portfolio of B2C, eCom and B2B clients to work with!

They are looking to hire a talented and ambitious SEO Account Director. They're looking for a SEO strategist and leader to lead a team of 3 and scale the team up even further. They are undergoing a vicious rate of growth and are expecting teams to grow in the near future.

The role is based in Toronto, and is hybrid role. Prior experience in SEO and Content strategy and execution and client/account management is a MUST!


  • Strategizing and executing campaigns across SEO (audits, keyword research, organic growth methods) for clients via key account
  • Manage client and team KPI's targeted through rigorous strategy and team management
  • Ability to execute on SEO campaigns/channels and "getting hands dirty" when required
  • Knowledge and creative mindset to offer Content driven strategy, ideas and solutions
  • Manage client expectations and relationships - reports, calls and leading meetings
  • Use data tools such as Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Keyword Planner, AWR and tracking tools - manually work on Excel
  • Delivering a 360 SEO & Content strategy end-to-end for clients
  • Work with a range of clients within finance, D2C, tech, eCom

Essential experience:

  • +5 years of on and off-page SEO and Content strategy and hands-on execution - 360 organic growth expert
  • Tool: expert to optimise and integrate in strategy: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Looker, Search Console, KWP, Sistrix, SearchMetrics, Looker
  • CMS and Content expertise: Wordpress, Canva, Hubspot, blogs, whitepapers, newletter, content calendar,
  • Experience working alongside external stakeholders and clients for strategy pitches, reporting, meetings, KPI management and performance reviews
  • People management skill to lead team of 3 - scaling a team up in past experience is a major plus
  • Ability to work under pressure and towards deadlines - CRO and KW performance driven as main KPI's
