Digital PR and Content Manager



My client is a leading media planning and buying agency, part of the world's leading media network. They employ over 12,000 individuals across 100 global offices. They are also currently AdWeeks Media Agency of the Year.

The Role.

As Performance Content Account Manager, it will be your key responsibility to move client campaigns from insights, through to execution and post campaign analysis. You will plan, direct and manage the performance of all content to maintain and develop business growth in accordance with the overall strategy of the SEO and wider Creative Systems Team.

As a senior member of our Performance Content offering you will be responsible for owning operational excellence within the team and for ensuring organisational effectiveness by managing and organising the team's output across its three principle areas - Digital PR, Editorial and Outreach; with a strong focus on our growing PR efforts.

You will be required to work with departments across wider agencies, contributing to the development and implementation of organisational strategies and procedures, regularly updating the business with new initiatives and opportunities.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Driving and supporting the team's delivery of both Digital PR and SEO outreach campaigns
  • First port of call for internal Performance Content requests, ensuring every project brief is clear, commercially possible, and with viable internal/external deadlines
  • Run the end-to-end process for client's content campaigns, from strategy, ideation, production to reporting
  • Producing SEO-driven pieces of online content, including but not limited to: guides, PRs, blog pieces, product copy and feature articles
  • Researching and building relationships with specialist content suppliers who can help deliver our KPIs for campaigns
  • Working with Heads of Department (HoDs), and SEO teams in the definition of project scopes and objectives, developing a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Working with HoDs and stakeholders in refining and expanding the Performance Content offering (Editorial, Outreach and Digital PR) with a particular focus on expanding our Digital PR footprint
  • Managing expectations in relation to workload and business objectives of the SEO and Performance Content team
  • Coordinating internal resources (team and project management) and third parties/vendors ensuring all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, the allocated hours, and budget
  • Running PR and Content workshops - both client-facing and internal
  • Steering the performance management process that measures and evaluates the project/teams' progress against goals
  • Responsible for managing finance and administration within the team, including and not limited to: supplier set-up, budget tracking, finance bookings, supplier management etc
  • Work with the wider Mediacom teams to ensure our approach is integrated
  • Be a vocal advocate for Performance Content and SEO with internal and external stakeholders

Skills Required

Demonstrable effective Digital PR experience, either in-house or agency-side
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience copywriting (Press releases, Articles, Guides, PRs, Blog posts)
Proven client-facing and internal communication skills are an absolute essential
Ability to juggle a number of tasks at once and consistently to deliver high-quality work to timescale
Excellent project management and problem-solving skills, experience managing third party suppliers/freelancers highly desirable
Ability to pre-empt problems and be pro-active in producing solutions
Ability to identify out-of-scope opportunities and raise to the appropriate internal stakeholders
Good understanding of emerging digital technologies and digital content solutions
Strong experience within an SEO, Digital PR, content management role with an exceptional understanding of innovative content marketing, audience research, social, SEO and PR strategies
Proven success in delivering results driven Performance Content campaigns utilising data and SEO-led insight and demonstrating ROI

Excellent knowledge and practical use of SEO and Content tools and practices; and f including but not limited to Roxhill Media, Keyword Planner, Google Analytics/Search Console
Demonstrable success in managing projects under pressure
Project management experience of medium-large digital PR/content campaigns. Further International experience is beneficial
