Paid Social Account Manager
My client is a leading media planning and buying agency, part of the world's leading media network. They employ over 12,000 individuals across 100 global offices. They are also currently AdWeeks Media Agency of the Year.
About the role
My client is searching for someone who has a proven track record in paid social advertising.
The manager role involves being the lead day-to-day contact for the clients that you work on, becoming a valued member of their marketing team. You will be overseeing more junior members of the team and ultimately will be responsible for delivering high quality work in three key areas:
- Implementation- Managing the set up & launch of multiple social advertising campaigns at any one time, sometimes across multiple clients. Correctly balancing attention, and that of the team, across these multiple campaigns to ensure quality of work is guaranteed. Ultimately responsible for ensuring QA processes are followed. Ensuring all strategic projects are on track and progress updates are supplied to key stakeholders.
- Reporting- You and your team will be responsible for producing detailed and high-quality reports and analysis for our clients. You should be able to confidently spot trends and insights and deliver learnings to clients that have a real impact on the success of their business.
- Planning- Writing detailed social advertising plans in excel - which can be easily understood by the client and, once signed off, are translatable to the relevant platforms. Creating accompanying PowerPoint slides to help present these plans to clients in a clear and detailed manner.
In addition to these areas you will be involved in all aspects of managing a busy media account including, but not limited to, monitoring campaign performance & pacing, monthly finance reconciliations, liaising with clients and creative agencies to ensure campaigns go live on time, working with internal teams to manage ad hoc client requests etc...
This person will find themselves working closely with all the major social platforms to deliver best in class advertising campaigns for some of the UK's biggest household brands. An ability to form good working relationships with media partners is key and the ability to both collaborate with and challenge vendors on all aspects of paid social media planning is crucial.
The manager role will also require you to manage more junior members of the team ensuring their quality of work, helping to manage their output and taking an active interest in their progression and overall wellbeing whilst at work. The Manager role also has a particular focus on quality assurance and ensuring good financial acumen within the team.
As a manager you should be confident in your knowledge of paid social and comfortable recommending strategies & tactics to clients. You will have solid experience in integrated digital campaign management and be able to ensure all work is delivered on time and to the high standard required.
You will have experience in pitching social advertising ideas to clients and delivering presentations, whilst promoting an understanding of how social advertising feeds into the wider media mix. We expect you to be up to speed with the latest social advertising technologies, targeting & creative options (and knowing how to make best use of them).
As a client facing team, we are looking for someone who is personable and friendly with a good client-manner. Someone who can fix problems as they arise with a smile on their face will fit in perfectly. You will be confident in your own skills and take the attitude that it's never too soon to make a constructive contribution to the discussion, volunteer new ideas and make suggestions for improving the results of our campaigns.
You should be able to develop strong relationships with clients, agency partners and suppliers to gain their trust, respect and confidence. The candidate should also be a friendly face with the wider Resolution team, acting as a role model with a willingness to help and coach more junior members of the team.
You will need to be organised & methodical with a calm head under pressure. As we strive for continuous improvement across the team and for our clients, we are looking for someone who can help develop new processes/templates to streamline our service and make us more efficient.
