Test Analyst - QA Tech

London - zone 1

6 month FTC - £40k salary pa



A industry leading entertainment brand is looking for a QA Tester. This business is an extremely awarded brand, who have world class production capabilities that reach millions of people across the globe.



The In house production studio, who are responsible for the design and development of this brands services across web, mobile and also TV are in need of an additional Tester. They are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented test analyst to help prepare and improve their digital products across a range of platforms, including responsive web, mobile, tablet and TV screens. You will fulfil a vital part of the digital team and actively collate their user feedback.


Key Responsibilities in this role include:

  • Undertake manual testing across all digital products as required, (iOS, Android, website, TV apps) keeping a good record of results, collating and reporting on issues in a clear manner
  • With an eye for detail, regression test across all devices as and when necessary
  • Raise critical issues with a sense of urgency, following processes set out
  • Play a key part in developing the team's automated testing capabilities, using Gherkin and Selenium
  • Adopt BDD techniques as part of a standard project workflow
  • Break down larger stories and write well defined acceptance criteria
  • Define, write and maintain test plans
  • Participate in daily standups together with the team to establish daily tasks and priorities
  • Participate in sprint retrospectives to establish positives and negatives and to constantly strive to improve processes
  • Keep the other team members in regular touch with progress and issues
  • Raise bugs with a sense of urgency, as necessary, following through with final testing and go live
  • Be familiar with Charles, Wireshark and Android Device Monitor for capturing logs and analysing output
  • Work with customer support to test issues reported by users, review app feedback and raise any bugs in a timely manner
  • Manage and action GDPR requests in a timely manner, as required



To be successful in this Test Analyst role you will have the following skills and responsibilities:


  • Has good knowledge of SDLC (Software development lifecycle)
  • Is proficient in websites, mobile apps, TV apps and API manual testing
  • Has experience using ideally all of Appium, TV automation, Selenium, Gherkin, Javascript, and a working knowledge of Python would be a nice to have
  • Experience using JIRA or Trello
  • Has knowledge of quality assurance processes and procedures
  • Has a proactive and flexible approach to work and is comfortable with a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities
  • Is comfortable juggling multiple projects at the same time
  • Has a working knowledge of working within an agile project management process
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across a number of departments and services as necessary
  • Comfortable presenting to colleagues and senior stakeholders
  • Has previous history in a client/customer facing role
  • Social media knowledge desirable
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office tools
