Assignment Details

Having partnered with Sphere to hire marketing and creative talent across mainland Europe, Canva appointed Sphere Exec to support several critical leadership hires.  

This included searches for: 

• General Managers in Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, France, and Czechia  

• Growth Leads in Italy, Spain, and Benelux  

These were senior, business-critical hires requiring candidates who could combine commercial leadership, market expertise, and alignment with Canva’s international growth strategy. 

Sphere Solution 

Led by Vanessa Wolf and supported by a research team, Sphere Executive delivered a structured, multi-market search process across mainland Europe.  

This included: 

• Mapping each target market in detail  

• Interviewing and assessing senior target profiles across multiple regions  

• Building tailored shortlists for each role and market  

• Supporting Canva and candidates through a rigorous interview process  

• Managing multiple senior searches simultaneously across Europe  

Sphere’s methodology enabled Canva to balance pace, volume, and quality across a highly complex international hiring programme.
