Contract Senior Account Manager–Publishing
Location: Remote USA based (4 Months)
Must have publishing or Media experience
Contract-40 hours per week
$$ Up to 80 per hour
We are seeking a Contract Senior Account/ Project Manager with experience in publishing to lead client relationships and campaign execution from kickoff through final delivery. This role serves as the strategic and operational lead across a portfolio of campaigns, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on scope, and to a high standard.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable managing both clients and cross-functional internal teams in a fast-paced media and creative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Relationship Management
- Own day-to-day client communication and serve as the primary point of contact throughout campaign delivery.
- Lead client kickoffs, status meetings, timeline check-ins, and deliverable tracking.
- Provide proactive updates on campaign progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Deliver campaign reporting, wrap documentation, and performance insights.
Campaign & Project Management
- Own end-to-end campaign execution from kickoff through final wrap.
- Build and manage project timelines, milestones, dependencies, and task ownership.
- Manage campaigns across custom branded content, video, social activations, high-impact advertising, and integrated programs.
- Ensure deliverables align with campaign requirements, media plans, and client objectives.
- Coordinate asset collection, tracking requirements, and QA in partnership with Ad Operations.
- Oversee post-sale production budgets and help maintain profitable margins.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Coordinate across Sales, Editorial, Design, Branded Content, Social, Legal, Ad Operations, and Finance.
- Provide clear direction and ensure teams have the information needed to execute effectively.
- Identify potential risks early and recommend solutions before issues escalate.
Strategy & Growth
- Partner with Sales to understand client objectives and campaign goals.
- Bring strategic perspective and historical client knowledge to internal teams.
- Identify opportunities for additional revenue and upselling where appropriate.
- Monitor campaign performance and provide actionable optimization recommendations.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5-6+ years of experience in project management, campaign management, or post-sale account management, preferably within digital media, advertising, or branded content.
- Experience independently managing a book of business and multiple campaigns.
- Proven ability to own client relationships directly.
- Experience with post-sale digital campaign execution, including custom content, video, and social.
- Familiarity with ad operations workflows, tracking, and campaign delivery.
- Proficiency with project management tools, particularly Asana.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong collaborative and cross-functional leadership skills.
