Freelance Broadcast Clearance Specialist
UK | Remote | £400-£450pd Outside IR35| Freelance | Immediate Start – End December 2026
I’m looking for an experienced Broadcast Clearance Specialist for an exciting freelance opportunity with a leading global agency, supporting a major international brand’s Q4 Linear TV campaign.
This is a genuinely specialist role for someone with strong, hands-on Clearcast experience who can come in quickly, take ownership of the broadcast clearance process and help establish a robust workflow for the agency.
The role
You’ll be responsible for managing the end-to-end TV advertising clearance process, working across creative, client services and media teams to ensure campaigns are compliant, cleared and delivered on time.
There’s also an element of building the capability from scratch. The agency is establishing a new broadcast clearance workflow, so alongside the live campaign work, you’ll help define processes, capacity and best practice for future projects.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing TV commercial clearance from script/concept through to final approval and transmission
- Managing submissions and approvals through Clearcast
- Potentially supporting clearance through ARPP in France
- Reviewing scripts, claims and creative against relevant CAP/BCAP advertising codes
- Identifying potential compliance issues and advising creative teams on required changes
- Managing legal substantiation and clearance documentation
- Coordinating between creative, media, client services and local market teams
- Managing tight Q4 deadlines and ensuring assets are cleared in time for media schedules
- Helping establish a clear, repeatable broadcast clearance workflow
- Advising on realistic capacity, timelines and resource requirements
- Creating a practical broadcast clearance playbook for future campaigns
What we’re looking for
You’ll need to be someone who can genuinely hit the ground running in a specialist broadcast environment.
Essential:
- Strong, hands-on experience managing Clearcast submissions and TV commercial clearance
- 4+ years’ experience in broadcast traffic, clearance, post-production or a closely related agency environment
- Strong understanding of CAP/BCAP codes and advertising compliance
- Experience managing the clearance process from early creative/script stages through to final delivery
- Confident working with creatives, clients, media teams and other stakeholders
- Highly organised, process-driven and comfortable working to tight deadlines
- Able to advise on workflows and capacity, rather than simply following an existing process
Desirable (these are not essential but they are amazing if someone has!)
- Practical experience with ARPP / French broadcast clearance
- French language skills
- Experience establishing or improving broadcast clearance processes
- Experience working across international/multi-market campaigns
The opportunity
This is an initial contract through to the end of December 2026, with an immediate start.
It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being the subject matter expert – taking ownership of the day-to-day clearance work while also helping an agency build a new capability and process around broadcast clearance.
