Getting your employee engagement right is absolutely critical and is one of the top challenges for all companies regardless of size or industry.

While employee engagement can be achieved with certain rewards & benefits, coaching and motivation strategies – knowing why they need to be engaged in the first place is vital.

Here’s a look at 10 factors that impact upon an employee’s engagement level and the ways in which companies, managers and individuals can address each one. Do you recognise these in your own employees?

Getting each of these factors right for everybody can be a challenge so survey your staff and reflect upon the areas that need to be addressed. Chances are there are areas you are strong in, meaning that only a few areas need work.

Ultimately, if you can provide your staff with a meaningful work experience that’s purposeful, rewarding and in an environment that promotes, communication, progression and development you’ll go a long way towards positively engaging your workforce.
