An exciting insurance company in Dublin is looking for a German-speaking SAS / SQL Analyst to join the team on a 1-year contract.

  • Location: Dublin, hybrid working

  • Office policy: 2 days per week in the office

  • Contract length: 12 months

  • Start date: 1st of September 2025

  • Day rate: up to €430 per day

The Job

  • Develop, maintain and optimise SAS and SQL datasets to support business analysis and reporting

  • Extract, transform and load data from various internal systems to build robust data pipelines

  • Work closely with actuarial, pricing and underwriting teams to provide data-driven insights and recommendations

  • Deliver regular reports, dashboards and ad hoc analyses to monitor performance and identify trends

  • Support data quality improvement initiatives and documentation of data processes

  • Contribute to ongoing projects to enhance risk modelling, customer segmentation and pricing strategies

You

  • Proven experience working with SAS and SQL in an insurance environment (life, health or P&C)

  • Fluent in German (written and spoken) with strong communication skills

  • Solid understanding of insurance data structures, policy data, claims and pricing data

  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities

  • Detail-oriented, proactive and collaborative approach to work
