Contract - Digital Designer - 2 months

My client is looking for a Digital Designer for a leading agency for a 2 month contract. They are in search of a highly motivated and experienced digital designer. This individual will play a fundamental role across design, editorial, and other teams. The ideal candidate will excel in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment, contributing to a highly collaborative and dedicated team. The candidate should be able to work in multiple creative briefs at once and collaborating seamlessly with the wider team.

This contract is an inside IR35 role, starting ASAP and is a hybrid role with 3 days in their Central London office.

The role:

• Taking a senior role in the design team and contributing to shaping the company's visual identity.
• Providing guidance and advice to senior team members on the company's visual direction.
• Collaborating with the senior digital designer to generate and deliver top-notch visual designs for various teams.
• Leading the design team when the senior designer is unavailable.
• Introducing innovative design concepts while maintaining consistency with the company's design style.
• Developing and maintaining the company's visual guidelines.
• Producing high-quality work efficiently under tight deadlines, paying meticulous attention to detail.
• Engaging in design-intensive projects.
• Demonstrating proficiency in data visualization, including charts, data pull-outs, and statistics.
• Staying updated on product design trends, innovations, and best practices to ensure relevance in your work.

You:

• Strong ability to produce and brainstorm visually appealing designs.
• Proficiency in core design skills such as colour theory, typography, motion, and behaviour.
• Effective problem-solving skills, capable of translating complexity into clear, elegant designs.
• Ability to incorporate feedback from senior management to explore multiple design options and iterate designs.
• Understanding of the importance of UX research and user-centered design principles, and the ability to integrate user feedback into design decisions.
• Innovative mindset for introducing new design concepts.
• Expertise in standard design tools (Adobe CS including After Effects, Sketch, Figma).
• Familiarity with digital platforms, social media, CMS, web usability, accessibility, and digital trends.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and self-organization abilities.
• Experience in an agile environment, capable of collaborative teamwork and self-leadership, with the ability to motivate others.
• Must have right to work in the UK and own equipment

Nice to haves:

• Previous experience working in agencies, publishing, and/or editorial enviorments.
