An exciting insurance business in Dublin is looking for a Senior GCP Data Engineer to support the development of scalable data platforms and international reporting capabilities.
- Location: Dublin
- Office Policy: Hybrid - 2 days in the office
- Contract Length: 6-month contract - but likely to go for around 3 years
- Start Date: January 5th 2026
- Day Rate: €500 to €600 per day
- Eligibility: Full right to work in Ireland required
The Job
- Build, optimise and maintain complex data pipelines and data models in GCP
- Design and implement scalable architectures using BigQuery, Pub Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc and Cloud Composer
- Develop data quality frameworks, monitoring and CI CD pipelines to support reliable production delivery
- Enable analytics, reporting and regulatory insights across multiple international markets
- Work closely with BI, product and actuarial teams to deliver secure and production ready solutions
- Collaborate across international teams in French and English
You
- Deep experience with GCP, Python, SQL and BigQuery
- Experience working in insurance
- Strong understanding of GCP services including Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, IAM and Composer
- Proven track record delivering data engineering solutions in large, complex and regulated environments
- Ability to design, build and optimise ELT pipelines at scale
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders across different markets
- French speaking is desirable
