Head of Trust & Safety wanted for a high-growth consumer tech platform.

Sphere Digital Recruitment are working with a fast-growing tech start-up operating a high-volume UGC platform, as they look to hire their first senior Trust & Safety leader. This is a critical, build-from-scratch role with long-term potential to evolve into a Chief Safety Officer position.

The role is London-based with a flexible hybrid setup (a few days per month in the office).

The role:

• Owning Trust & Safety end-to-end across the platform, including policy, escalation frameworks, and decision-making in complex grey-area scenarios
• Designing and delivering a holistic safety strategy that balances legal, ethical, reputational, and commercial considerations
• Building the Trust & Safety function from the ground up, including defining the operating model and hiring/scaling the team
• Partnering with Legal, Compliance, Operations and Fraud to ensure joined-up risk management across the business

You:

• Have significant experience in Trust & Safety, Policy, Compliance, or Platform Risk within a high-volume UGC environment (nice to have)
• Have worked in or alongside fast-scaling platforms such as social media, creator platforms, marketplaces, or consumer tech businesses
• Have experience building and scaling teams and functions from an early stage
• Bring strong stakeholder management skills and can operate at senior leadership level
