The Role
As International Media Buyer, you will act as a strategic lead across European and global audio markets, combining client-facing strategy, direct media buying, and hands-on programmatic execution.
This role requires strong commercial acumen, confident negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex international campaigns from planning through optimisation. You will serve as the internal expert on international audio landscapes, ensuring campaigns deliver measurable ROI while identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop insight-led international media plans aligned to client objectives
Plan, negotiate, and execute audio campaigns across podcasts, streaming, and radio in global markets
Lead rate negotiations and secure value-driven partnerships with international publishers
Manage budgets and maintain a rolling pipeline of growth opportunities
Execute programmatic audio campaigns using a hands-on-keyboard approach within DSPs
Manage campaign setup, audience targeting, bidding strategies, PMPs, and optimisation
Oversee multi-platform execution ensuring accuracy and performance delivery
Implement real-time optimisations to maximise campaign effectiveness
Establish and enforce best practices across tracking, pixel implementation, vendor verification, and reporting
Provide monthly market updates, competitive insights, and emerging trend analysis
Act as a subject-matter expert internally on international audio strategy and pricing benchmarks
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
Present media plans, performance updates, and optimisation strategies to clients
Collaborate cross-functionally to align planning, activation, and measurement
You
5+ years' experience in media buying, planning, or advertising (audio experience strongly preferred)
Demonstrated hands-on experience within DSPs such as The Trade Desk or AdsWizz, including PMP negotiation
Strong knowledge of international audio markets, particularly Europe
Confident client presenter with strong commercial negotiation skills
Highly analytical, with the ability to interpret and communicate data clearly
Detail-oriented, organised, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams
Self-starter with strong ownership mentality and accountability
Willingness to travel internationally for client meetings and industry events
