On Wednesday 25th July, we hosted our first programmatic industry breakfast event at the impressive Berkeley Hotel in London.

The Panel

  • Luke Fenney, VP, Publisher Development at Index Exchange
  • Allan Tinkler, Publisher Development Director at Quantcast
  • Dom Perkins, Digital Advertising Strategy Director at Immediate Media
  • Ben Pheloung, Director of Publisher Partnerships at Captify
  • Amir Malik, Digital Marketing Expert at Accenture Interactive

The topics of discussion centred around the impact the new GDPR legislation has had, and is having on the industry, and how companies and consumers are reacting to it, as well as looking at the opportunities there are for companies to level the playing field against the dominant Facebook and Google duopoly.

With GDPR the hot topic over the past 18 months it was clear from the panel’s discussion that there is still more to do with only a small number of publishers, around 20%, are fully compliant but the ICO will struggle to enforce changes early on and that companies need to work alongside one another in order to compete with the likes of Facebook, Google and now even Amazon when it comes to advertising revenue.

Our events offer an incredible opportunity to hear from some of the leading experts share their thoughts on some of the biggest issues facing the ad tech and programmatic industries. We’ll be holding another later on in 2018 so if you’d like to attend, be on the panel or have a discussion topic worth covering then please get in touch with Sphere Digital Recruitment’s Marketing Manager, Alex via alex@spherelondon.co.uk
