The Role

The Media Solutions Account Director will lead regional media strategy and campaign execution across EMEA for a major global client account. Acting as a key strategic lead within the London hub, you will oversee cross-channel planning, performance optimisation, and operational delivery across multiple international markets, with a particular focus on Spain and Italy.

This role requires a strong balance of strategic leadership, client management, and operational oversight. You will work closely with regional planning teams, platform partners, and international activation hubs to ensure campaigns are delivered to the highest standard while driving innovation and efficiency across the wider account.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading EMEA programmatic & paid social campaign strategy for a major international client
  • Developing and overseeing local market strategies with a focus on Spain and Italy
  • Acting as the key link between regional strategy teams and international execution hubs
  • Driving campaign performance through advanced optimisation strategies and cross-channel insights
  • Managing stakeholder relationships across internal teams, external partners, and senior clients
  • Ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to client KPIs
  • Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement across regional workflows
  • Collaborating with local market teams to adapt central strategies to regional market nuances
  • Monitoring campaign performance and implementing solutions to improve operational efficiency
  • Supporting best practice development across media planning, activation, and platform execution
  • Managing relationships with media vendors, technology partners, and platform representatives
  • Mentoring and supporting wider team members while contributing to a collaborative team culture

You

  • Proven experience in media activation, account management, or media strategy at Account Manager level or above
  • Strong knowledge of cross-channel media planning and activation across brand and performance campaigns
  • Hands-on platform experience across Meta, TikTok, DV360, Google Ads, or similar digital media platforms
  • Deep understanding of the EMEA media landscape, particularly Spain and Italy
  • Experience managing multi-market and multi-language campaigns within a global environment
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Ability to interpret campaign performance data and translate insights into strategic recommendations
  • Experience working with large international brands within a complex agency structure
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively
  • Strong understanding of media planning fundamentals including reach, frequency, channels, and formats
