Financial Accountant

• Based in London
• 4 days a week in the office
• 6 months initially
• Start date: 11 May 2026
• Up to £400pd Inside Ir35

The Job

As the Financial Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the annual external audit and liaising with auditors
• Leading the preparation of UK statutory accounts and Group consolidated financial statements
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal finance policies
• Preparing and reviewing monthly reports, including variance analysis
• Supporting month end close and reporting activities
• Reviewing balance sheets, cashflows and bank reconciliations
• Preparing tax computations and working with external tax advisors
• Acting as a key link between Controlling, FP&A and wider business stakeholders
• Responding to ad hoc finance queries and delivering timely analysis
• Supporting internal controls and finance governance
• Assisting with ad hoc projects, system implementations and continuous improvement initiatives

You

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• At least 3 years post qualification experience
• Big 4 background preferred
• Strong experience preparing or auditing statutory financial statements
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
• Confident using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
• Comfortable working independently, under pressure and to deadlines
