Senior Account Executive

Overview

Senior Account Executives are responsible for managing and optimising paid media campaigns to a high standard, helping drive strong performance for clients.

They are also responsible for reporting on campaign performance and communicating insights clearly and professionally to clients.

On small and medium accounts, they may take greater ownership of client success, account growth and day-to-day communication.

This role requires strong digital marketing knowledge, analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work well with clients and internal teams.

Primary Outcomes

  • Effective Campaign Management: Campaigns are built and managed in line with the agency's best practices, with proactive testing, recommendations and strategic improvements.

  • Effective Optimisation: Campaigns are monitored and optimised regularly in line with the agency's best practices to maximise performance against client goals and budgets.

  • Client Satisfaction: Clients receive proactive and professional account management, with clear performance updates and useful recommendations.

  • Team Contribution: Share learnings, support junior team members and contribute to wider team knowledge and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Management and Optimisation

  • Build and launch high-quality paid media campaigns across relevant platforms, aligned with the agency's best practices.

  • Monitor account performance regularly and complete daily optimisations.

  • Analyse campaign performance to identify trends, issues and opportunities for improvement.

  • Manage campaign spend effectively, ensuring no significant over or underspend.

  • Take ownership of day-to-day campaign management and optimisation.

  • Drive strong account performance, strategy, client satisfaction and growth.

  • Implement new tests, recommendations and platform features to improve results.

  • Oversee work completed by junior team members and provide feedback where needed.

Client Communication

  • Lead client communication within your area of responsibility.

  • Act as a trusted day-to-day contact for clients.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Communicate clearly, professionally and in line with each client's key priorities.

  • Respond to client requests in a timely manner.

  • Provide insightful performance updates and recommendations.

  • Translate campaign data into clear actions and next steps.

  • Create and update basic reporting dashboards for smaller clients.

Innovation

  • Roll out new creatives, tests, betas, strategies and tools to improve campaign performance.

  • Share campaign learnings and test results with the wider team.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and platform updates.

  • Identify opportunities to grow client accounts into additional services.

  • Use automation and smarter ways of working to improve performance and efficiency.

  • Show a strong understanding of clients' businesses, industries, competitors and relevant market trends.

Team Collaboration

  • Continue developing professionally and act on feedback from managers and team members.

  • Complete assigned tasks to a high standard and within deadlines.

  • Communicate progress, challenges and blockers clearly.

  • Prioritise workload effectively with limited support from managers.

  • Support junior team members through guidance, task support, training and mentoring.
