About the Role
A leading provider of workforce monitoring and insider risk management solutions-powered by advanced AI and behavioral analytics-is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the team focused on deep Windows OS internals. In this role, you will help design and develop the core functionality of a high-performance sensor agent that captures system-level activity across endpoints.

The role requires strong expertise in Windows kernel and user-mode development, and you'll work alongside a cross-platform engineering team contributing to a scalable, secure, and tamper-resistant solution that supports real-time telemetry and AI-driven insights.

What You'll Do

• Develop core features for a Windows sensor agent operating at both user-mode and kernel-mode levels.

• Capture and process large volumes of system activity efficiently, including ETW-based telemetry.

• Tackle complex technical challenges such as performance tuning, memory management, and system resilience.

• Build features involving process management, file system access, network monitoring, and system hooks.

• Collaborate with architecture and cross-platform teams to align functionality and shared libraries.

• Ensure the agent maintains high performance, security, and tamper resistance.

• Contribute to test automation and reliability verification of low-level code.

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of experience developing in C++ with a deep understanding of Windows internals.

• Hands-on experience with Windows kernel-mode and user-mode component development.

• Proficiency with advanced instrumentation techniques (e.g., process injection, API hooking).

• Strong grasp of multithreading, synchronization, and lock-free programming patterns.

• Familiarity with Windows 64-bit architecture and modern subsystems.

• Experience with ETW (Event Tracing for Windows) and performance tuning tools.

• Understanding of secure communications, cryptographic libraries, and TLS.

• Strong debugging skills for memory, concurrency, and system-level issues.

• Ability to work in Agile environments and deliver iterative improvements.

• Clear and effective communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with security software, EDR, or endpoint protection systems.

• Knowledge of Windows filter drivers (e.g., minifilter, network filters).

• Familiarity with access control, AppContainers, Job Objects, or sandboxing.

• Cross-platform development and shared library design.

• Automated testing of low-level code, including mock environments for kernel layers.

• Optimization for constrained environments and performance-critical applications.
