Growth Marketing Lead

We're partnering with a fast-growing technology business to recruit a Growth Marketing Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to become the company's first dedicated growth marketing hire, taking ownership of the marketing function and shaping the company's go-to-market strategy from the ground up.

This is a role for someone who enjoys building rather than inheriting. You'll have the autonomy to develop strategy, test new ideas, and create a scalable growth engine while working closely with the founders and wider commercial team.

The Role

As the Growth Marketing Lead, you'll own the marketing function and be responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive brand awareness, demand generation, and customer acquisition.

Working directly with the leadership team, you'll define positioning, shape messaging, launch campaigns, and identify the channels that generate sustainable growth. This is a highly commercial, hands-on role where you'll be encouraged to experiment, analyse performance, and continuously optimise your approach.

You'll have the opportunity to build the foundations of the marketing function, with clear scope to grow and develop a team as the business continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities

Growth Strategy

  • Develop and execute the company's growth marketing strategy, aligned with commercial objectives.

  • Define and refine positioning, messaging, and value proposition to ensure the business stands out in a competitive market.

  • Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness, customer engagement, and lead generation.

  • Build scalable growth initiatives through experimentation, testing, and continuous optimisation.

Demand Generation

  • Own the marketing funnel from awareness through to qualified opportunities.

  • Develop and execute multi-channel campaigns across content, paid media, organic social, events, partnerships, email marketing, and founder-led marketing.

  • Create repeatable demand generation strategies that deliver measurable business growth.

  • Monitor campaign performance, analyse results, and use insights to improve future activity.

Content & Brand

  • Develop compelling content that educates, engages, and converts target audiences.

  • Work closely with the founders to establish a strong and authentic brand presence.

  • Ensure consistent messaging and brand positioning across all customer touchpoints.

  • Support the development of thought leadership and content marketing initiatives.

Customer & Market Insights

  • Work closely with customers and the commercial team to understand market challenges, buying behaviour, and customer needs.

  • Translate customer insights into impactful messaging and high-performing campaigns.

  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner with sales and leadership teams to align marketing activity with business objectives.

  • Introduce processes, tools, and best practices to support long-term growth.

  • Take ownership of the marketing function, with the opportunity to build and mentor a team as the business scales.

About You

You'll be an ambitious, commercially minded marketer who enjoys solving problems, testing ideas, and building marketing functions from the ground up.

You'll ideally have:

  • Proven experience in Growth Marketing, Demand Generation, Performance Marketing, or a similar B2B marketing role.

  • Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies within a technology or SaaS environment.

  • A strong understanding of demand generation, customer acquisition, and full-funnel marketing.

  • Experience managing multi-channel campaigns across digital marketing channels.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.

  • Strong copywriting and communication skills with experience developing positioning and messaging.

  • A proactive, hands-on approach and the confidence to work autonomously.

  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working within a fast-growing technology, SaaS, or start-up environment.

  • Experience launching new products or entering new markets.

  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools.

  • Experience using AI-powered marketing tools to improve efficiency and campaign performance.
