Overview
A leading digital agency is looking for a Senior Digital Experience Executive to join its Digital Experience team.
This role is suited to someone with strong hands-on SEO experience who can take ownership of technical SEO, content performance, reporting and digital PR support. The position sits between execution and tactical management, so the successful candidate will need to work independently, manage priorities and confidently support client workstreams.
The role combines technical SEO with creative digital PR, requiring someone who can audit websites, identify performance issues, optimise content and support reactive outreach opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of SEO and digital experience workstreams across client accounts
- Conduct technical SEO audits covering crawling, indexing, site architecture, metadata, internal linking and site performance
- Identify and resolve technical issues that impact rankings, visibility and organic performance
- Manage on-page SEO improvements across website pages, content assets and landing pages
- Analyse keyword trends, traffic fluctuations and competitor activity using GA4, Google Search Console and SEO tools
- Support content performance by identifying keyword gaps, underperforming pages and user journey issues
- Help develop organic growth roadmaps based on technical findings, content opportunities and commercial priorities
- Monitor search trends, industry news and the wider media agenda to identify reactive content and PR opportunities
- Support digital PR activity, including media list building, outreach research and pitch drafting
- Track SEO and Digital PR activity, ensuring progress and results are visible against agreed KPIs
- Prepare clear performance updates and client reports, translating technical data into simple business recommendations
- Work closely with managers and directors to ensure delivery aligns with wider client strategy
- Build strong relationships with clients through clear communication, timely updates and practical recommendations
- Manage project timelines, flag risks early and ensure work is delivered to a high standard
- Collaborate with external partners, such as freelance contributors or translation networks, where required
- Support and mentor junior team members on SEO tasks, reporting, outreach and best practice
- Use AI and automation tools to improve workflow efficiency while maintaining quality and accuracy
Requirements
- Strong hands-on SEO experience, ideally within an agency or multi-client environment
- Confident conducting technical SEO audits and making actionable recommendations
- Good knowledge of crawling, indexing, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, metadata and internal linking
- Experience with on-page SEO, keyword research, content optimisation and content gap analysis
- Comfortable analysing organic performance using GA4, Google Search Console and SEO platforms
- Experience using tools such as Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Looker Studio or similar
- Good understanding of digital PR, outreach, link-building or reactive content opportunities
- Able to monitor search trends and identify opportunities based on news, competitors and industry movement
- Strong reporting skills, with the ability to explain technical findings clearly to clients and internal teams
- Comfortable working across multiple client accounts and managing competing deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Curious, proactive and keen to stay up to date with SEO, search and platform changes
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Gemini to support workflow efficiency would be beneficial
Ideal Background
- Agency SEO experience across retail, ecommerce, travel, hospitality, beauty, lifestyle, finance or other consumer-facing brands
- Strong technical SEO experience with some exposure to Digital PR, outreach or off-page SEO
- Experience working on large websites, international accounts, ecommerce platforms or content-heavy websites
