Senior Product Manager - eCommerce
Cape Town, South Africa | Hybrid (4 days office)
Overview
Own and grow a global eCommerce capability, scaling an existing MVP across multiple markets while building new features and integrations. You'll define product strategy, manage delivery, and work closely with stakeholders, engineering, UX, data, and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the eCommerce product strategy and roadmap
- Scale existing eCommerce products and launch new capabilities
- Lead product discovery, customer research, and requirements gathering
- Own and prioritise the product backlog
- Translate business needs into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Work closely with Engineering, UX, QA, Data, Marketing, SEO, and Operations teams
- Drive Agile delivery and stakeholder alignment
- Monitor product performance, conversion, revenue, and customer outcomes
- Lead optimisation initiatives including testing and experimentation
- Ensure governance, documentation, and scalable processes are maintained
Requirements
- Proven Senior Product Manager experience owning digital products end-to-end
- Experience building and scaling eCommerce products/platforms
- Strong Agile product management experience
- Experience managing roadmaps, backlogs, and product delivery
- Ability to work across Engineering, UX, Data, and Operations teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Commercial mindset focused on measurable outcomes
Nice to Have
- Headless/composable commerce experience (Shopify, Kontent.ai, Uniform or similar)
- CRO, A/B testing, SEO, and analytics experience
- Exposure to AI-enabled products or features
- Experience working in regulated industries
