An outstanding opportunity for a senior media Account Director to lead one of the agency's most high-profile global client relationships.
We're working with a top-tier media agency to find a Global Account Director to lead a complex, fast‑moving, multi‑market global account. This is a key leadership role, sitting at the heart of the business, with real influence across strategy, operations and delivery.
The Role
As Global Account Director, you'll play a central role in delivering best-in-class media and data outputs across international markets. Working closely with the Global Client Partner, you'll help lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure operational excellence, and translate global strategy into seamless local execution.
This role suits someone who thrives in global environments, brings clarity and structure to complexity, and is equally comfortable engaging with senior clients, agency leadership and delivery teams.
What You'll Be Doing
Client Leadership
- Act as a senior, trusted day-to-day client contact across the global media team
- Support the development of annual plans and ongoing strategic recommendations
- Ensure clear, compelling storytelling across all client outputs
- Monitor client satisfaction and help drive continuous improvement
- Proactively bring insights, innovation and learning to the client
Team Leadership
- Support the Global Client Partner in building and leading high-performing teams
- Provide clear direction on priorities, deliverables and deadlines
- Act as a point of escalation, resolving challenges quickly and constructively
- Mentor and develop junior team members
- Build strong relationships across regional and global agency teams
Operational Excellence
- Drive strong day-to-day account management across global and local markets
- Support implementation of effective operating models and processes
- Track performance across markets, managing risks and opportunities
- Translate global strategy into clear actions, timelines and outputs
- Maintain rigorous organisation across meetings, actions and reporting
Delivering Brilliant Work
- Contribute to innovative, effective, data-led media solutions
- Ensure outputs meet the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Clearly articulate recommendations and rationale to senior stakeholders
- Support case studies and best-practice sharing across the network
- Build deep understanding of the client's category, objectives and performance drivers
Communications
- Lead global calls with clear agendas and actionable outputs
- Ensure timely, effective communications to local markets
- Flag and help resolve market-level issues
- Support global and monthly client communications and media calls
What We're Looking For
- 6-10+ years' experience in a media agency or marketing environment
- Proven experience managing large, complex or multi-market accounts
- Strong understanding of media strategy, planning, activation and performance measurement
- Confident communicator with senior clients and stakeholders
- Experience delivering integrated, multi-channel campaigns
- Strong knowledge of digital and data-led marketing (programmatic, paid social, search)
- Highly organised, solutions-focused, and comfortable working at pace
- Experience working within global organisations is a strong advantage
- Commercially aware, with exposure to scopes of work and financial management
